Uh oh, Oh!
I built a PC
Back in 1995
It was a Pentium
Felt like it was alive
With all the promise
Of what was windows 95
***
The days of dialup
They patiently expired
We ordered cable
And with Cat5 we rewired
We finally had all of the
Bandwidth we desired
Oh
Oh OH!
Then came the DOTCOMS!
Oh
Oh OH!
Blogs and web cams!
Internet killed the video star
Internet killed the video star
On my phone
And on my screen
Just log on
See what I mean
It’s all just one
Fantastic scene
****
****
Then came a shockwave
Of streaming video
Full episodes
Of the Daily Stewart Show
It’s where most Americans
Get their news you know
***
Now when I visit
My old friends and family
They have to brush off
The dust from their TV
They never watch it
Anymore you see
Oh
Oh OH!
World of Warcraft
Oh
Oh OH!
We’re File sharing!
Internet killed the video star
Internet killed the video star
On my phone
And on my screen
Just log on
See what I mean
It’s all just one
Fantastic scene
Internet killed the video star

OBAMA
True change
And progress
Require vigilance
Perseverance
And vision
We have taken a step
Let us not believe
That the journey is anything
Other than just begun
Our leadership has transformed
From monochrome
To black and white
But I still dream
In color
America has written
An unprecedented
Remarkable
Hope filled page
In it’s history
And I am glad
But the page
And even the book
Are to me
Merely puzzle pieces
In a vast and beautiful mosaic
For my care
Has been given
To the library itself
And progress
Require vigilance
Perseverance
And vision
We have taken a step
Let us not believe
That the journey is anything
Other than just begun
Our leadership has transformed

Greed Is Good?
The headline in the New York Times says it all
Wal-Mart Employee Trampled to Death
What a shameful day for this country
And its deluded people…
We are now all diminished in the eyes of morality
So eager for bargains as to be willing to kill for them
On crappy merchandise no one needs
I like a good deal as much as anyone, but I’m not about to stand outside a Wal-Mart all night
And I’m not about to take part in a mob mentality just to save a few hundred dollars
Look close America
Don’t you DARE look away
This is blood on your hands
And feet
Shame on you all
Especially you Wal-Mart
For planting the seeds of GREED
That has now grown to MURDER
By a MOB of mentally ill bargain hunters
Yes I said mentally Ill
Greed is a sickness
It breeds jealousy, hate
And Malcontent
Americans are infected with it
And I fear it may be terminal

Thank You
Thank you America
For having the nerve
To believe in hope
Once again
And electing Barak Obama
To the presidency
Thank You

Once again
And electing Barak Obama
To the presidency
Thank You

Just askin
Did anyone else
Feel embarassed...
For this country
Just a little
When Sara Palin *winked* at the camera
Almost as if she were inviting
The husbands of America
To cheat on thier wives
Feel embarassed...
For this country
Just a little

Almost as if she were inviting
The husbands of America

Maverick
Trickle down economy?
Looks like it has trickled UP to me
And flown right out the window
And now I suppose you want me to pay for it
And my children too
And my Grandchildren too
And my great grand children too...
...
...
I'm sorry Ronald Regan
But the curtain has fallen
And you have no cloths
You never did
It was all "backstage wardrobe"
You were just a naked old fool.
I'm not really "for" wasteful government
However
Handing all of the money over to the richest people, because they presumably know what best to do with it, doesn’t seem to be working.
So yes
Seeing that we have a population of over 300,000,000 people
In fifty states and a handful of possessions
That we have a ten trillion dollar economy
We are trying to interface with a number of complex emerging foreign economies
And act as the primary defense of the “free” world...
It’s a big county
With big problems
Yes
I want a big government
Not an inefficient one
But one with the scope and depth, necessary to protect our rights and see to our collective interests.
Let us be clear on this
Deregulation, for the most part
Has NOT worked.
I’m sorry too, John McCain
You were the deregulation maverick guru
And now you want to “rein in” the corruption on Wall Street?
ROTFLMAOCOPTER!
(as my son would say)
I’m asking all, of my fellow Americans
To join me In becoming more active in government
WE are the people
The government is supposed to be
Of the people, for the people and by the people
U.S. = Us
“Decisions are made By those who show up”
Looks like it has trickled UP to me
And flown right out the window
And now I suppose you want me to pay for it
And my children too
